I am based in Muswell Hill, London.
After gaining my chemistry degree in 1993 from Wadham College, Oxford, I initially taught for over 26 years for the same employer, the AlphaPlus Group, at their colleges Abbey College London, DLD College, and Abbey College Cambridge. Abbey College London and DLD College are now merged and called DLD College.
My job titles during this time were Chemistry Tutor, Head of Chemistry, Head of Science, Director of Studies, and Acting Principal. In addition, I carried out the roles of Examinations Officer, Vice Principal, Easter Revision Coordinator, Olympiad Coordinator, and I had pastoral care of my own Tutor Group. From Abbey College I have experience teaching students for whom English is not their first language, and from DLD I have experience teaching students with SEND.
As of 2022 I am working full-time on my own individual tuition, mainly via zoom or other online platforms, but also locally face to face, and I have taught students over the last few years from Haringey Learning Partnership.
I am a GCSE and A level examiner for two of the major UK examination boards.
I have an enhanced, current DBS certificate
